I’m from New York City. I want to go visit Turning Stone Casino without having to drive.(don’t want to add mileage to my car plus gas is a killer) I want to know what is the second best way of getting there. Maybe something like Amtrak or some bus charter that would bring me there. Thank you in advance. Any advice would be nice.

In other words, if I am at a craps table and I have chips but I have not placed a bet for 15 rolls or so, is it customary for the casino personnel to ask me to leave so that someone else can play? Thanks.

Natalie S asked:

Anyone else have a hard time getting a starting position within the casino industry in Las Vegas? I have worked in the “corporate world” now for over 10 years and am dying for a change of environment. The problem I’m having is my lack of experience in the gaming industry. Even a cocktail waitress position is required to have previous experience. Any words of advice that got your foot in the door?

Captain N asked:

How do I go about starting a career in casino security? I’m assuming I will need to go to dealer school first? What’s the next step? Will I need to work as a dealer for awhile to “learn the ropes” or can I move straight into the security side of it?

In addition, anyone have any casino security experience? If so, what’s the job like?

What is the maximum amount of money you can win at a Casino before you have to report it to the IRS?

barbara2457 asked:

I know people who have come home from the Casino with a ticket for the IRS. They put the ticket directly into their current year income tax file. When I ask them about it, all they say is “we won instead of losing this time”. I’ve come home with a few hundred dollars before and I’ve never had to report that amount to the IRS. If someone can tell me I would certainly appreciate it. My question is solely to satisfy my curiosity. Thanks.
