I have been doing some research on debranding the Sony Ericsson W580i, and have heard of some people that have lost the ability to text message or some of the text messaging features.

If i debrand my W580i, will i lose text messaging(SMS) or MMS?

If I somehow lose the texting or some of the features, is there a way to fix this?

What other features do you lose when debranding the W580i?

I know if someone changed their landline phone number if they moved, it will be easy to get because the operator will usually give it to you and that information. But what about a cell phone? If someone important to me changes their cell phone and I dont have their new number but if I have their old cell, is there a way I could get the new one? Would the operator have that?

Sometimes I would get an automatic response if its a landline phone with the new number or if it is unlisted, it will say its been disconnected.

I’m looking cell phone company that has atleast 400 minutes or less and unlimited texting for a good price. Nothing over 50$
I’m trying to prove to my parents that not all cell phone company’s are over-priced. Then maybe, I might get a cell over the future.

I have a Sony Ericsson z310a and I want to put a password just so that nobody can get into my text messages, but I can’t figure out how? Is it even possible?
I had a razr and I did it with it.

I don’t want to lock the whole phone. Only the text messages. I know it’s possible with lots of other phones.
