I will be bartending a casino theme party and a mexican theme, so i will serve margaritas. Any ideas on what cocktails to serve to go with the whole casino theme? Hey I’m just wondering how much money people normally go to casinos with when playing hold’em, I don’t want to look like an idiot when I go and get an amount of chips that would only pay for Big Blind twice but at the same time I don’t want to take too much.

I know that this ‘amount’ would differ depending on which casino I go to and what the stakes are but still any help would be appreciated.

I consider it gambling, and isn’t gambling haram? My friend is a poker fanatic and he plays alllll the time, and he tells me that he’s just playing cards and using strategy to win money. How can I explain to him that he shouldn’t do this in both a way that appeals to him and that is effective?
Guys, you’re not helping lol. I need an effective way to get him to stop. I am not kidding, he will play at the VERY LEAST once a week, I think he is starting to get addicted. I need a good way to get him to stop, something a 20 year old will listen to.

In no-limit, when the blinds go up every 15-20 minutes I find my self going all more then I want to and being way to aggressive at times because are rapidly going up blinds. I find this to be more gambling then playing poker.

How do you play?
Some more info. Most tournaments live or online only give you between 1500 to 3000 chips and blinds starting off at 25/50
Edit: I am not asking you how to play but how do you play with the blind structures like this.
Just to be clear I am asking how do you approach this situation in your own way. Not asking for the best just wondering whatever one else does.
