One of Woo’s best moments, and the man’s got a lot of great moments.

i guess i have a more up to date version of the film because the sounds of the shotgun and beretas sound like stock sound effects in my version, in this it sounds realistic.

Great slow motion shootouts and I like how he slides down the stairs, classic and influential.

Chow Yun Fat will kill you three times before you hit the ground.

One of things I love about Hong Kong action films, they make sure those motherfuckers are dead. In American action movie, you shoot ‘em twice and leave. That usually comes back to bite ya.

Yeah, I know most people would disagree but M:I 2 was actually my favorite of the series too. Breathtaking action.

I think my favorite from Woo is the warehouse shootout in Hard Boiled, but every one you mention is great.

@radicalhit: I definitely wouldn’t go that far, but this is still a classic shootout. The restaurant one was perfectly constructed as movie scene with the laying of the guns in the plant pots, whereas this one is a fantastic escape and features THAT backwards stair slide. The teahouse scene at the start of Hard Boiled rivals the restaurant scene in A Better Tomorrow IMO.

Am I the only one here who thinks Chow Yun-Fat would give Arnold Schwarzenegger a big kick in the ass?

this is the slick scene for Better tomorrow 2. Id say just as good at the restaurant shootout in the first movie.
