Doyle picked up a tell from Antonius that he was weak, and that Antonius was bullying the table. If Doyle’s read made him CERTAIN that Antonius didn’t have a pair, then Doyle knew he was either up against two high cards (with odds from even to 54-46 in Doyle’s favor), or a weak hand that Doyle has middle-paired (A2, K2s, J2s etc.) or dominated (A3, K3, 53s, etc.). Against the high-2, Doyle is 68-31 ahead; against high-3, Doyle is around 66-31. So, given his read, Doyle made a great play.
