I’m just curious to see what people think. Is Poker really gambling? Isn’t gambling wagering on games of CHANCE? but Texas Hold’em clearly is not just a chance game. People who are good at reading people and people who understand the game well can do much better than those who don’t do anything, Like how many final tables have players like Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson (over 10 bracelets each) and others been sitting at? is it just luck or not? So if there’s skill is it really gambling? Even betting on horses has an element of skill involved. It isn’t just chance. But each has an element of chance too. I’m not sure. Thanks. There are Christians who think that playing poker is wrong, and I just don’t see it. I’ve seen guys playing poker on tv with a 2 and 6 off suite get the guy with the pair of kings to fold, and that is no chance – that’s 100% skill.
